Set up

Install on your phone

Add Orbit to your Home Screen on iPhone or Android, or install it on a computer.

Orbit is a web app, so there's nothing to download from an app store. Adding it to your Home Screen gives it its own icon, opens it full screen without the browser bars, and lets it open your library even when you're offline.

iPhone and iPad

  1. Open orbit-media-app.vercel.app in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up) in the toolbar.
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
  4. Open Orbit from the new icon on your Home Screen.
  5. Sign in again with Continue with Google. The Home Screen app keeps its own sign-in, separate from Safari.

Android

  1. Open orbit-media-app.vercel.app in Chrome.
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu, then Install app. On some phones it says Add to Home screen.
  3. Confirm with Install, then open Orbit from your Home screen or app drawer.

On a computer

In Chrome or Edge, choose the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or ⋮ → Cast, save and share → Install page as app. Orbit then opens in its own window and shows up in your dock or Start menu. To update your library from any tab, add the Chrome extension too.

Removing it

Delete the icon like any other app. Your library is saved with your account, so it's all there the next time you sign in.
