Sync, settings and your data

What follows you between devices, what stays on one, and how to download or delete it.

What follows you between devices

  • Your library: every title, its progress, status and history.
  • Your settings: theme and companion, library and Up next layout, and your share card.
  • Your notification choices, like lead time and quiet hours.

Changes save on the device straight away and sync in the background. If two devices change the same title, the newest change wins. A progress update on your phone can never be undone by a metadata refresh on your laptop.

What stays on one device

  • Your ticks and crosses in Discover, and the recommendations worked out from them.
  • Recent searches.
  • Whether notifications are turned on for that device.

Offline

Your library opens without a connection, and anything you log while offline syncs when you're back. Search, Discover and new release dates need a connection.

Download or delete your data

In Settings → Your data, Download gives you everything Orbit's server holds about you as a JSON file. Delete account permanently removes your account and all of it. Signing out removes your library from that device only; it stays in your account.

The Privacy Policy lists exactly what is stored and why.
