Set up
Notifications
Get a reminder before new episodes air, on each device you choose.
Turn them on
Notifications are set up per device, so do this on each phone or computer you want them on.
- On iPhone or iPad, first add Orbit to your Home Screen and open it from there.
- Go to Settings → Notifications.
- Next to This device, choose Turn on and allow notifications when your browser asks.
- Choose Send a test to check it arrives.
Choose what you hear about
- Anime: MyAnimeList gives each show's weekly air time, so you can be reminded at air time or up to an hour before.
- Dramas: TMDB gives the air date but not the time, so you get a reminder on the day, at the hour you pick.
- Worlds: pick which worlds notify you. Manga and manhwa don't have release dates from MyAnimeList, so they can't notify ahead.
- Planning titles too: otherwise only what you're reading or watching.
- Quiet hours: anything due then waits until they end.
These choices belong to your account, so they apply to every device you've turned on. Notify me pauses them everywhere at once.
If they don't arrive
- Settings says notifications are blocked. Allow notifications for Orbit in your browser or phone settings, then come back.
- On iPhone, there's no Turn on button. Orbit has to be opened from the Home Screen, not from Safari.
- A reminder came late or not at all. Air times come from MyAnimeList and TMDB and can change or be missing, so reminders are best effort.
